Props to a T/O!

Just wanted to give some props to the Asian lady T/O who usually operates on the Richmond-Fremont line. She usually gives clear and detailed transfer/station announcements, which can't be said for some T/Os. She also handles herself very professionally and actually glances forward (for jumpers I presume) until the lead car is safely in the tunnel or away from the platform before closing her window. I haven't seen too many T/O's who look forward for such a long period; nor those who always look back into the lead car if they can (as in a C1/C2 car) to make sure everything is A-OK in the car.

Today, on her Richmond bound train at MacArthur, a blind man came on board the first car of the 3 car train. All the "reserved for seniors/peoples with disabilities" seats were taken by black girls-the loud, obnoxious type who were listening to rap music on their cell phones without regard for other passengers and yelled across to each other across the train. Anyways, the blind man came on and of course, struggled to find a seat using his cane. The T/O came onto the PA and mentioned repeatedly that "Federal law requires passengers sitting in the seats nearest to the doors to vacate the seats for people with disabilities." It took several announcements (and perhaps a 30 second delay) until the girls got the message and moved unwillingly, but not without a loud "F*(K You!" aimed at the T/O through the window (this was a C1 car). Finally, the train started moving, with the blind man safely seated and the embarrassed girls being surrounded with stares of disapproval from fellow passengers (me included).

Asian female T/O on the Fremont-Richmond line; you're my favorite T/O! There should be more people like you working for Bart.

I came here to start a thread giving an attaboy to a T/O from last night. He was on the PBP train that arrived at Civic Center around 6:05. Someone got on with a bike at Montgomery or so and the T/O repeatedly announced that no bikes were allowed on the train. Must have been four times. Whoever it was finally must have gotten off. I called on the intercom to thank the T/O.

i was on a sf to pittsburg/baypoint train the other night and the TOs voice sounded like what i'd expect to hear if i picked up the phone and the dude on the other end was trying to extort money from me and disguising his voice with a machine. you know the ransom calls from all the movies that go something like this: "be at the docks, 1 AM sharp. bring the cash. you better be alone or the bunny rabbit gets it" or "put the lotion in the basket"

anyone know if that is his real voice, or if he is just joking around??? its kinda creepy.
