Defaming your character by saying you are not a Police Offcier, Teacher and Counsler???? To Demfame somes character there has to be damage. An example would be if someone spread a vicious rumor that Hypotheticlly you were molesting a student and you actually were not. That would defame your character, but saying something like you dye your black hair blonde is not defamation of character!!!!

Don't forget that one must have some character to defame and damage. Can a total loon be defamed? Is ranting a character trait? I cannot attest to Sakanta Running Wolf Bell-Gumaer's character, but I can attest to the fact that she is a character. I think I saw her barefoot in the Downtown Berkeley Station, kissing the floor, dancing around, and performing some type of cleansing ceremony, but I can be sure it was her. Maybe it was at the Ashby BART Flea Market?
