Dear Lady at 19th street

I made my train! Just in the nick of time too.
This morning at 19st station, some lady with a small suitcase decides to park her crap right in the fair gate (the only in gate on my side of the station agent booth) while she looks for her BART ticket. I was behind her and some guy was behind me....
The guy behind me decided to walk to the other in gate on the other side of the station.
So I make a move. So instead of telling this bitch how idioctic she was and wasting my precious breath, I showed her what an unconsiderate asshole she was by putting in my ticket thought the in gate, walking on the side to collect it, and I walked around her to the out gate, and hopped the gate.
She looked at me like I was some crazy man.
Well let me tell you something bitch, be more considerate of other passengers and step aside when you don't have your ticket available in a ONE GATE open situation. When you find your ticket, I will be happy to wait the extra 10 seconds it takes you to fit your stupid ass luggage bag through the gate.
But until you learn to have your ticket ready, "kick rocks" you unconsiderate asshole.

even if there is more than
even if there is more than one gate, people that do this really piss me off. you had the entire walk from the train or your car or whatever to rummage through your pockets for your ticket. if you cannot find it, get the fook out of the way! and for pete's sake, don't stop right when you get to the bottom of the escalator! it is a moving walkway, and there are other people behind you with nowhere to go but down!
There have been a couple
There have been a couple time I have been that person and did not find my ticket in the rush to the gate. At those times I simply stepped to the left and allowing the next person or two go though the gate till I got my act together.
Sadly when I located my ticket, 8 or 16 seconds later, I was sternly belittled by the next person when I tried to step forward and use my, now found, ticket and told to get in the back of the line.
Seems she felt I should have gone to the end of the line and/or allowed all to pass first (even the ones in that had to use the add-fare machine)
What are other peoples feelings on what is the proper etiquette in this situation?
My opinion? Ignore the
My opinion? Ignore the comment. In that situation you were obviously already there and an additional 5 seconds of you scanning your ticket is not going to make a difference in anyone making their train (and if so it's their own damn fault for being that late).
Just like the freeway: I don't care if some asshole cuts around me and blows the horn when I'm doing 15 miles over the speed limit in the middle lane. I'll still get there in a reasonable amount of time, and so will they, they'll just get a heart attack or a broken neck and I won't.
You don't get a trophy for getting on the train / to the offramp first, so why make it a race?
i think it is comparable to
i think it is comparable to pulling over on the side of the freeway to change a flat tire. you don't need to go to the back of the line, but you should wait until there is ample space to merge back into traffic.
we all know what faregates look like when people are exiting a packed train at rush hour. imo, you are not entitled to get your space back immediately. put your blinker on and wait for an opening. and don't expect anyone to slam on their brakes and let you in either.
