Adobe Photoshop. Why? Have

Adobe Photoshop.

Why? Have some ideas?

I personally think it would be a good idea to use vBulletin for this type of site.

I use Irfanview

I agree about Irfanview.

I agree about Irfanview. It's a great photo viewer and is also good for VERY MINOR editing (like cropping, saving). The key combinations and preferences are a bit weird, but you can view photos full screen, move through photos in a folder as a slide show and copy things to other folders pretty easily. I use it to view and then set up something else as an external editor to do more serious editing. It doesn't have particularly good color balancing tools and other things that I find I use a lot.

Adobe Photoshop, of course, is the photo editor most professionals use and it has gazillions of options and tools, but it's also $600+. Photoshop Elements is the scaled-down version which has many of the same features (but not some of the more advanced ones) and is usually around $80-$100.

For free photo editors, I like Paint .NET the best (for Windows). It has many of the features of a program like Photoshop Elements, but for free and actually has a pretty intuitive and usable interface.

Many open source/Linux types swear by The Gimp (which is free). To me it looks like it was put together by an idiot savant. Menus and tools are spewed around in random places like homeless peoples' bodily fluids on a BART train. If you have lots of tolerance for a wacky UI and a steeper learning curve, it might do what you want, though.
