Hypocritical?...Linton Johnson drives to work?

Shouldn't he, as the most publicly visible BART employee, be riding BART? Why is he driving to work? Believe he lives in Oakland, Piedmont, and drives a Lexus and parks in the Oakland City Center parking lot.

Shit, if I made $300,000/year just to look pretty on camera I'd drive my Lexus from Piedmont as well.

By the way, there's no BART station in Piedmont...

Or.... Maybe he could take the 59/59A to Lake Merritt station and then take a Richmond train to 12th Street? (Or 19th Street?)

I'm gonna try and bus it once a week.

Wow, your stupidity confounds me. Piedmont is nowhere near a BART station. It would be much more wise to take AC Transit from Piedmont into DT Oakland. Taking BART from Piedmont makes absolutely NO sense at all.

probably not, but if johnson did take bart into work, that same OP would probably be slamming him for driving so far in his expensive car just so he could take bart using a free bart ticket that he gets on top of his $300,000 salary...

and if you are going to slam someone, at least do a little research first. the OP should have checked a map and seen if the commute made sense before posting. what is johnson supposed to do? backtrack to rockridge or macarthur? drive to 19th street station and then take bart for 7 blocks to civic center? driving makes the most sense in his case - or take the bus as others pointed out. however, i'd never take the bus. not even on my relatively meager salary. give me $300,000 a year and i wouldn't even be caught dead in a lexus. it would be bentley all the way.

This post, and the others on Johnson are stupid.
It certainly sounds personal.

Post about the homeless, pregnant teens, deficiencies of the education system.

Raise awareness to the things that would mobilize people
to produce change in society.
Even if it's a little, teeny weeny change.

Why give a shit about Johnson driving a car. How much he makes. Who does he know?
