Embarcadero Street Escalator by Federal ReserveWhy in God's name is the escalator always in the Down direction even in the morning commute? Everyone is going up to work and yet this escalator has been in the down direction for the last week. This is the escalator that exits on the street level at Market and Spear right by the Cable Car Florist. |

Yes, I noticed they just changed that and it made no sense. I love having to walk up those stairs behind grandma and granpa. Takes about 5 minutes.
I love to take stairs anyway
I love to take stairs anyway so it doesn't bother me. I won't speak for others but I have been caught behind slow stair climbers and it gets annonying. Old people and people who are out of shape deserve to have the escalator. BART get the stupid escalator working the way it used to be!!! You guys are starting to work like CAL Trans and that is not a compliment!
