Toilet seat cover for the BART benches

The seat cushions on BART are covered in peoples filth. Many of the riders don't appear to have bathed in quite a while. I propose placing toilet seat cover dispensors throughout the terminals so that people can keep their rear from touching these disgusting seats. The city has a bedbug problem, not to mention the drifters who use the trains to sleep on and stink beyond belief. Seems like no one cares, and fool themselves into believing that their precious rear isn't coming in contact with anything that could do them harm. Anyone heard of crabs? Do you enjoy sitting on other people's urine and feces? Keep fooling yourself then. Don't bother washing your clothing or bathing, because other people's junk is getting transfered onto you anyway when you sit into that seat.

Jesus, then stay in Dublin

Jesus, then stay in Dublin and dont ride BART, you nut.

And you wonder how BART won

And you wonder how BART won the best transit award recently. They must've paid someone off. I've been on many transit trains and BART is the most disgusting.

That would be because you

That would be because you ride on it.

You're pretty safe if you

You're pretty safe if you are wearing clothes. The nasty stuff has a hard time climbing through clothes to get to you.

I agree that BART is dirty. They should have cleaning teams that cleans it everynight and spraying disinfectant on everything. I always carry Purel and clean my hands after leaving BART.

I actually try never to

I actually try never to touch anything. I also wash my hands once I get to work. We can only do so much without being overly paranoid, otherwise we would never leave the house.

Some seats are really nasty

Some seats are really nasty so I always inspect them before sitting. I know some people just stand and avoid the seats, but some people just plop down and don't seem to care. BART says it cleans the cars but think it's a losing battle because there are too many lowlife who enjoy living in their own slime. Since BART replaced the old brown fabric with the blue you can see more of the crap, inlcuding the brown film on the seat backs where people rub their oily hair and God-know-what into the cloth. So it's not just the seat bottoms, but the backs, too that are filthy. I'm for getting rid of the upholstery and carpet altogether. Any entrepreneurs out there who want to create a portable seat cover? All you can do is try not think about the bodily fluids, microbes and other pathogens embedded in that fabric you're sitting on and yes, wash your hands when you get to work.
