LOL Bart surplus
goes into funding the BART director's pet projects so James Fang could get his stupid 3% fare rollback. And 50 cars will get a "deep cleaning" bet you the 50 cars getting deep cleaned will only be the ones with the slanted noses....

A list below of the pet projects the surplus is getting funneled into:
Director Lynette Sweet, who initially opposed the fare rollback, got benefits for five part-time car cleaners - all members of the Service Employee International Union, whose support Sweet is seeking in her upcoming run for San Francisco supervisor.
Director Bob Franklin got $75,000 for TV monitors that would be installed in cafes so BART patrons can see train information while sipping their lattes. He also got $100,000 for an awards program for station agents.
Board member and security buff John McPartland got $150,000 for his plan to expand BART's new emergency command post into a regional nerve center for major disasters. Never mind that Alameda County - where the district's headquarters are located - already has a state-of-the-art communications center, as does every other Bay Area county.
Director Carole Ward Allen got $200,000 to temporarily stave off paratransit fee hikes.

Except for giving more money
Except for giving more money to greedy SEIU members, all these sound like better uses for the money than this idiotic rollback.
Benefits for *5* part-time
Benefits for *5* part-time employees? How about deploying Tasers for all the BART officers instead?
