It's running. However, the
It's running. However, the Fremont line ends at South Hayward, and a bus bridge leaves from there to Union City and Fremont. West Oakland is now reopened, as it appears the woman did not die, and is now hospitalized. Dead people mean more work and investigation, so that's why Union City is still closed, despite happening first.
I'd anticipate some residual delays. Service may be "normal," but plan ahead anyway. Two in one day is highly unusual (if not unprecidented), so let's hope there isn't a #3.
It actually spounded
It actually spounded suspicious to me. like it was coordinated
Who knows. BART police are
Who knows. BART police are still quite early in their investigation. An hour and a half apart is pretty close.
Ya Bart was definitely
Ya Bart was definitely having a bad day today. When it rains it pours. ACE also had a major delay today so my commute home was very long. I'm glad there are less of these bad days than good.
Yeah, it's definately weird
Yeah, it's definately weird to have two jumpers in one day, especially so close together. A few years back we did have 2 in one night at almost the same exact time. One at Fremont and one at Richmond. Unfortunately, the one at Richmond, the operator didn't realize he hit someone and 5 trains ran over the poor guy before someone noticed him. It was dark out and and he was laying between the running rails so very hard to see.
what really took the most
what really took the most time was the wait for the coroner. and then picking up all the pieces, of course, along with the station wash-down. ick.
