String of Break-ins

Sorry to hear that; my truck was broken into at North Concord in August 2009. They do a PATHETIC job of monitoring that station. My Acura Integra was broken into or vandalized a good five times at North Concord BART station which is why I bought the truck. And, people swear nothing happens at that BART station; what a crock. BPD just lets the thugs loiter around there and I hate it. They let perverts jack off in the far parking and do nothing about it. I also hate it when the white Sheriff bus drives up bus and drops off people getting out of jail there; take them to Amtrak. It really bugs me BPD doesn't watch the lot better; they know better; they know this a problem and they don't do jack. I got the same speech about four cars being broken into when mine broken into and they wouldn't even come and take a live report.

I've so had it with all this BART crap and refuse to give BART one more time voluntarily. Time to find a new place live, work and method of RELIABLE transportation to get to and from a job. They should have 1940's trains alone; much better than what we've got today with loser BART and BART's pathetic management and priorities.

It's not fair that BART can spend, spend, spend, on extensions and fucked up walkways that aren't up to code for eight milion dollars and passengers have to worry about leaving their vehicles in the parking lot. Pretty soon, everyone is going to be fed up with BART unless they don't have anything do or anywhere to be.

Wonder when the 11:59 p.m. train is going to come at 11:59 p.m.?

I heard 20 cars got broken into in various ways on 4/2, but that was both Bay Point BART AND North Concord..

As for doing their job, they are avoiding doing certain enforcement due to the PR mess they have been in for awhile. So you may see them more (to be visible) you won't see them issuing citations that would make people unhappy.

One of the parking people told me this past week, they are having to ride the trains (their patches say BART Police) just for the visibility, which may be why the parking lots have not had those people in them.

So you (should) SEE more BART Police, but they are less likely to actually cite for Infractions like Fare Evasion/Misuse of Discounts.

I love it when you call bart pork squad to report a vehicle break-in / theft. Before you can even finish the description of your car they will be telling you there is nothing they can do. I bet they have an office pool going on how many cars are broken into a month. Winner gets a fried chicken dinner and a hawaii vacation.

Bart parking lots are basically an all you can eat buffet for car thieves / crackheads / illegals. It seems like bart popo is there to protect the thieves from the car owners.

Aren't the people who write tickets supposed to patrol the parking lots as well?
