More dumb riders
Watched some mom block the aisle with her kid's stroller. She got pissy when some passing woman got her purse caught on the stroller handle, but...well, the stroller was in the way. The mom continued her frowny face when she wanted to get out the car and a cyclist had to move out of the way.
Then there was the teenaged girl who initially refused to move her feet off the seat. The gentleman tried to negotiate with her, but she'd only stare up at him (I was too far away to hear anything and even to see with people moving in and out on whether they exchanged words). To his credit, he turned around and began to negotiate how to call the operator. She got really cranky and moved her feet. Her friend giggled and as the guy sat down, the girl stood up and basically rammed her way past the guy.
I felt really sorry for him as he looked totally exhausted only to listen to one girl giggle and the other (presumably) talk trash about him while he sat right behind them. They also played their music obnoxiously loud--enough that I could make out lyrics 5 rows away.

To the DUDE that was
To the DUDE that was urinating at the Concord elevators last night around 12:50 a.m., YOU AREW FUCKING DISGUSTING YOU PIG.
SCREW YOU MAN I HAD TO
SCREW YOU MAN I HAD TO PEE111!!
(LOL, just kidding!)
But they should open the dang bathrooms already.
Good for him for sticking up
Good for him for sticking up for himself but... yeah the last time I got someone to move their feet so I could sit I got cussed out and threatened to have my face beat in. And then had to sit across from the dude for the whole trip.
Whenever I think I might be
Whenever I think I might be in a situation like that, I start audiotaping on my iPhone. You should have had the T.O. call the BART police. It's against the law to make terroristic threats against another person.
Yeah I know. I'd rather
Yeah I know. I'd rather spray him with the pepper spray myself and watch him squirm.
Even better, add BART
Even better, add BART Police's phone number on your cell phone and call them while you're on the train. 877-679-7000. Give them a good description of the individual and which train you're riding and car #. On the eastbay, most of the tracks are above ground where you can get good cell reception.
it would be great if you
it would be great if you could text bart police (maybe you can, but i don't know).
that way you can send a message discretely, rather than having to get on the phone and possibly direct the thugs attention to you.
i realize you can move to another car before making the call, but texting seems a lot easier especially if you are trapped in the middle of an SRO car...
Great idea--text or email
Great idea--text or email contact would be great. With today's smart phones, you could potentially even send along a picture of the perpetrator, which would make the PD's job easier. I hope you send in the suggestion to the PD.
(I did just look on the BART PD's site, and there doesn't seem to be anything about that on there.)
