that is also why the mtc.ca.GOV(metripolitan transit commisiion covering 9 bay area counties)
won't consider their options in redirecting stimulus funds and won't consider saftey when using stimulus funds.
1 BRT driver(Bus Rapid Transit) is ultimatly a much better saftey decision.
a simple bus system (currently built this way on city streets) with WiFi/remote control in the 8 traffic lights that matter most to turn them green
(i get caught up in these lights where i live and wonder why 2 cars went through a green light and then it turns red, but i see a bus stopped at the light the other way and its getting the green light)
go ride the air bart bus and see how long it takes.. supposedly its 12mins
a bus is safer. the unions are ignoring saftey first and possibly not pressuring mtc.ca.gov into directing stimulus funds to more reasonable projects than the oakland connector.
