Cops at One Market Plaza around 7:50am
I'm just curious why a few times a week I see the same 3 or sometimes 4 Bart Police officers sitting at Starbucks One Market Plaza? I know they must be on break because everyone deserves a break. What I question is the time of their break.
Isn't this during the morning rush commute? So if 3 or 4 BPD are sitting at Starbucks a few times a week, what does that mean about being there when BART is mostly used in the morning?
I'm not trying to get these guys in trouble but it does make me wonder.

If it was up to me, no BART
If it was up to me, no BART Police would be allowed to take a break during peak travel times. There are plenty of other times in the day to take a break. Inexcusable
I am not sure but it seems
I am not sure but it seems to me that as an operator I hear the fewest calls for BPS during the commute hours. There a lot more calls during off peak times. Commute is mostly just honest hard working people trying to get to work. Sounds like the right time for a break to me. Although I am not very familiar with the city as I only go through underground but this location sounds to be very close to a bart station. If it is then what is the problem ? Also you do not even know if these officers are only on a break they could just be a group of friends gathering for a coffee before starting shift or before heading home after a long night.
" group of friends gathering

Good point! My bad.
Yup I bet there is less
Yup I bet there is less crime.. Noone wants that many people to identify you. Commute would be a good breaktime. There should be more undercover on the trains during the high crime times.
Move along sir... nothing to
