I Don't Want to Hear Your Music
There is a reason the iPod comes with earphones. It is so you can listen to your favorite music without disturbing everyone else. Nobody is going to be impressed by your tastes in music. So you don't need to turn the volume up to the pont where everyone can hear your music and PLEASE turn off your damn boom boxes. Those things went out of style in the 80's.

I love it when ghetto people
I love it when ghetto people play music on their phones out loud as if it was a Ghetto Blaster.
Haven't seen a live boom box
Haven't seen a live boom box on BART in years.
but I'm guessing these people are using the "max volume" feature of their cell phones to play that cruddy "music" for all to hear.

On Saturdays if you ride the Richmond/Daly City line, it's very common to see epople carrying stereos onto the train with no ear phones.

Because of Black?
Because of Black?
Nope, because of ghetto..
Nope, because of ghetto.. Ghetto has nothing to do with race. Ghetto is the trash that take from our society, not pay into society. Ghetto is lazy and poor and do nothing but leech. They cost us money to house free or while they are in jail where most of them have been at least once..
Master Chief, you should not imply ghetto is just a black thing, very racist of you...
Pretending that the term
Pretending that the term "ghetto" doesn't have racial implications is straight up retarded, homes.

i see boom boxes quite often
i see boom boxes quite often on BART and i'm a music lover so i would rather hear a boom box than someone's iPod through their phones which is a daily, multiple occurrence. I think it's funny I can actually hear what song is playing sometimes, The other day someone was playing their cellphone and the man in front of him said, you know they have headphones so other people don't have to hear your music, and the guy replied that he doesn't have any headphones. Guy disturbed by music just got up aggravated and left. The one thing that does bug me is when it's religious sermon played at volume 10 on a boom box but the whole lead car went nuts on that one.
Tonight,i had the rare pleasure of riding home with one of my co-workers who had to work overtime and we were trying to talk. some drunk kept interrupting asking if the train goes to Concord. By the tenth time of telling him, I get off at Concord and I'll tell you when we get there he kept asking me the same fucking question so I told him I already fucking answered you 10 times. I've been going since 8:30 a.m. with only one starbucks coffee and just wanted to chill. No such luck on BART on a Friday night. Then we get off in Concord and el drunko goes where's the end? I say, the end is Pittsburg. Where do you want to go? He now says Pittsburg. eerrrrrrr.
When we were headed out of the station, another drunk gets on there and starts yelling hey black guy, hey chocolate, and mind you the drunk is afro-american, and no one could figure who he was yelling at. Finally after a process of elimination, the correct afro-american gentlemen figured out a-a drunko was talking to him. I find this stuff just as annoying as you do with the music..
Then guy across us wanted directions too, at least he got the station on the first try but then he wanted directions to Monument/Detroit/Walters after he got out of the station. Felt sorry for his dog which was stuffed in a bag. El drunko #1 tried to pet it, and the dog bit him. Don't drunks know that animals hate people who drink?
Does BART have a kiiosk that gives people directions on how to get to their surrounding destinations? Just curious because I'm cellphone-less myself. I've seen a kiosk of some sort at North Concord BART when entering the station and have never bothered to find out exactly what they do. I see the arrival time of the train on it to eastbound destinations only.
Usually these are the same
Usually these are the same people who can be seen jumping the fare gates, eating on BART, or causing other kinds of trouble.
And don't bother asking them to turn it down.
If they even respond at all they'll just get pissed at you and turn it UP.
Then let the operator know.
