ebart
i have never seen a diesel system work. i live by a transit line, it is electric.
but from what i have reaserched diesel might be worth giving a chance.
i have never seen one work and dont want to be closed minded to the idea.
i'm willing to give it the time of day. there is a huge company in antioch/pittsburg that builds these diesel LRV's (light rail vehicles). im thinking i havent ever seen one run...
so with that in mind i found a few facts, like biodiesel wont work with them, diesel is so *pure* supposedly that biodiesel messes up the LRV's engine. (truth)
but it runs so clean supposedly,
the diesel engine was originally invented to run on peanut oil. but diesel was suddenly more plentiful from the crude oil refining. they made diesel and that is the engine im talking about.
they swear hands up and down this thing isn't a truck with smoke. i have never seen that-this type of system i have only seen electric transit systems, or black smoke diesel busses.
i'd like to give the eBART a chance to prove itself.
electricity is generated by coal or natural gas and that is where switching to burning diesel at the source(LRV), might be an atmospherically profitable carbon trade.

Have you seen a regular
Have you seen a regular everyday union pacific train? That is how the system works. A diesel engine powers an electric generator which propels the train. It is these big electric motors that move these trains throughout the US. Have a friend of mine who drives for amtrak telling us how the system works. Very interesting.
Can these electric motors
Can these electric motors once started and moving the train, charge the batterys by themselves by providing power to the batteries via alteators. In other words the motors turning and the altenators in return are supplying power to the batteries and the batteries supply power to the motors? No fuel required.
Exactlly!! for what weare
Exactlly!! for what weare paying for B.A.R.T. fees we should be getting free latécoffees on B.A.R.T. + they shuold have enough monies to pay for development ing of perpetual motion power process!
Wow, shithead here invented
Wow, shithead here invented Perpetual Motion! he should get a Nobel Prize.
Lol. I know right, if that
Lol. I know right, if that were possible we wouldn't need 3rd rail. Just jog the cars and shoot them out the barn.
The North County Transit
The North County Transit District (San Diego area) has, in the recent years, opened the new Sprinter (Diesel) line. This is not a new concept to California.
How are these Diesel engines
How are these Diesel engines different from the ones Caltrain uses?
There is no such thing as
There is no such thing as "clean" diesel.
It may be more clean than other types of fossil fuel burning, but it is not a "clean" technology.
