OAKLND AIRPORT AND BART
Well, I guess this animal called BART is moving towards Oakland Airport. From what I read, some group called REGIONAL FUNDING AGENCY [just who is this reginal funding and where are hey getting this funding from?] has $140,000,000 towards the real cost $550,000,000 of this airport deal. The total cost is always MORE than projected. Let's add up the numbers:
AIRPORT COST $550,000,000
FUNDING - $140,000,000
AIRPORT PROJ = $410,000,000
BART DEBT + $300,000,000
Subtotal = $710,000,000
SAVINGS LABOR - $100,000,000
CONRACT
TOTAL = $610,000,000
All those negotiations with a threat of strike for what? just what was the point of taking $100,000,000 from the employees ? So Bart could spend MORE, If you think rate increases, and contract saving are the answere look at the numbers. I , see a BIG bond issue on the ballet coming soon,and plenty of
rate increases to come.
