Just curious,
1. people either have some social or personal problem with the working class BART employee. Was an employee rude or unhelpful, whereas they all must be.
2. they believe BART would spend more money on operations. Like cleaner trains and such. which is not gonna happen since BART only runs deficits on contract years, the rest goes to capitol projects. And we can all see how good the last surplus years were.
3. they believe fares would not have gone up. Even though it was scheduled, just like the Jan raise and bonus management received.
4. jealous somehow that a few people still have benefits.
5. pro management, business point of view. Management or wealthier should profit. The WalMart type model.
6. do people believe that the State problems are connected in some way to BART?
7. do you believe removing money or benefits from the working class would reduce or affect the unemployment rate. I have seen comments like "lucky to have a job" go through.
8. Greed, are the lowest paid workers greedier than the highest paid?
Am I missing something, what benefit would hurting the lowest paid in BART actually do? There would never be any financial gain for the riders as we have seen throughout the past 8 years when there were not only hundreds of millions of dollars wasted on pet projects and a surplus.
Previously the public has come to bat for BART workers, I am confused this time. Seems 50/50.

I hope someone keeps auditing Dorothy Dipshit's and other BART Management expenses, e.g., Lunches and Travel. I still feel like the BART employees GOT SCREWED. Their contract SUCKED last time; it isn't fair. They have families. Management should have made ALL the sacrifices this time. BART Management is full of shit when they say care about BART passengers; they could care less and it shows.
