BART strike likely starting monday

It will take me about 2 1/2 hours each way to work/home. I have to get to work by 8am, so I;ll be up at 430am and not get home until about 730-800 pm. Three bus transfers each way, a lot of waiting in line, and those nice "smooth" rides on those ancient AC transit buses w/o shocks. Home with the wife and family for maybe an hour and that's it before bedtime. I'm more beat from the commute than my work itself.

Thanks a lot BART!

UGH. Not sure how I'd get to

UGH.
Not sure how I'd get to work... I guess I could drive, but the BB will be packed and there won't be anywhere to park...

Does anyone have any experience with the Alameda-SF ferry?
I know it's really expensive (like $13 round trip) but if there is free/cheap parking there it might be an acceptable short-term solution for me...

Looking forward to taking AC

Looking forward to taking AC Transit, though I'm hella lucky as it's one bus, no transfers. Will take longer than BART but will be closer to destination on each end.

My only regret is that we can't be assured the strike will last the whole month so I'm pushed over the edge and decide to buy an AC monthly pass. That's probably the worst thing that could happen to BART, as I and several thousand others may discover the pay-one-price convenience that many of my neighbors enjoy with the month pass (not to mention the bonus of using flippin' Translink so my bus fare, unlike my multibillion-dollar train fare, doesn't get lost to the magnet in my cell phone or whatever).
