BIKES ON BART
There should be a specific BART car marked for BIKES maybe one with a BIG [B/W]on the side, standing for bikes and wheel chairs and this car should be the first one in line, there would be additional seating but fitted for BIKES AND WHEEL CHAIRS.

BART is adding designated
BART is adding designated bike space to some of their cars. The converted ones have a bike symbol near the door.

Why should handicapped people
Why should handicapped people have to sit with the bikes?
Having a bike car is a good idea because those people are bringing bikes on BART by choice, but most people who are in wheelchairs did not CHOOSE to be in a wheelchair...
Well, they are mobile enough
Well, they are mobile enough to move around the car to park just about any where they would like, it is a saftey hazard ,not unlike bikes to be in there own car, trying to climb over a wheel chair would cause a massive pile up [people pile up],now were talking the real world not a fantacy world where people will help and push the wheel chair out first and try to help.
I see... So do you think fat
I see... So do you think fat people should have to sit in their own car too, so they don't get in the way? What about elderly people, since they might be slow?
Who else do you think should be discriminated against?
Women who breastfeed their
Women who breastfeed their grown children, boyfriends or husbands.
Depending on the woman, that
Depending on the woman, that would be totaly acceptable, as long as they only take up one seat.
No not at all I think
No not at all I think enlarged ones can sit any where they would like as long as they only take up one seat or its double fare.
A fat person or a slow
A fat person or a slow elderly person is just as much of an "obstacle" as a person in a motorized wheelchair.
good point. none of those
good point. none of those people should be allowed on. I like how you think master chief.
Not realy because it would be
Not realy because it would be easier for some of the riders to push them out of the way.
All riders should be greased
All riders should be greased before entering the platform, that way When they escape, they must be able to get through, with ease.
Did it ever occur to you that
Did it ever occur to you that wasting AN ENTIRE TRAIN CAR on bike space would be foolish, since there are rarely more than a half dozen bikes on any given train?!?
or did you think that if the
or did you think that if the system actually tried encouraging people to use alternative transportation that people would embrace it? douche!
The system *IS* alternative
The system *IS* alternative transportation, you dumb fuck.
Youll have to control your
Youll have to control your POTTY-MOUTH or you will flunk you fial exam. Of course at UC this type of behavor is expected. Especialy being a Professor and all.
some ignorant people believe
some ignorant people believe that if they drive their gas-guzzling vehicles to bart and then take the train they are doing all they can. look at the entire picture before passing judgment...douche
Did it occur to you that most
Did it occur to you that most people who drive to BART do so because the distance is too great, the terrain too hilly, or the streets too dangerous for them to ride bikes to BART instead? Or that many people in America are simply not physically fit enough or able to ride a bike any significant distance... shithead?
And for God's sake, stop defending "sick of it."
distance too great...it's a
distance too great...it's a challenge and you can loose that gut and additional 30 lbs that you have to lift up before you take a piss every day. never said it was easy, but our society is too used to having everything handed to them.
i will defend, and you will like it
cream-filled-douche
or
fucktard
I would love to be close
I would love to be close enough to the BART station to not have to drive over and park there every day. Or not have to be at the BART station before any busses have even started running. I've looked into it. I just have to get there too damn early.
I'll use my 1/3 gallon of gas to get to the BART station and back thanks. Avoiding 5 miles uphill before dawn on an unlit 55 mph road is not lazy. Chickenshit maybe, but not lazy.
I dont think the whole car
I dont think the whole car should be fitted for Bikes,Wheel Chairs, there would be seating in there, but its just Bikes and Wheel chairs would have a space especialy for them.
I think you should be fitted
I think you should be fitted with some sort of device that gives you electric shocks every time you go to post some moronic screed on the internet, but that ain't gonna happen either.
