5 drunk guys go on
I was on Bart last night leaving SF to the east bay. A drunk ass group of guys came in at the Powell Street. These guys were way beyond their limit. One was cussing at everyone and tried to start a fight. The other guy even taunted us by saying go ahead and call Train Engineer. It was a pretty scary moment. Everyone was afraid including me when these 5 drunk out of control guys got on.
I was wondering if they were spotted by the Station Agents. If an agent sees a group of drunk idiots go through the gates, what do they do?

Next time, walk to a different car (walk two or three cars down, if you feel it's safer), and alert the train operator via the intercom. Or, walk to a different car and use your cell phone to call BART Police. Their phone number is 1-877-679-7000. Program it into your cell phone. (It doesn't hurt to have other agencies, such as CHP, your home town police, your work town police, etc. programmed into your cell phone, in case of an emergency when you are in those jurisdictions.)
If these individuals were really that intoxicated, and harrassing passengers, BART Police will remove them from the train. Being that drunk in public is illegal, so BART Police can act on it.
Coming onto bartrage and posting about it does absolutely nothing. Hoping that someone else saw something and reported it also does nothing. Whenever you see a crime being committed, assume that you are the only person in the world who knows about it, and DO SOMETHING about it (instead of whining about it to other people later).
The police have no way of knowing a crime is being committed, or that people are causing a disturbance if someone (and that means YOU) don't alert them to it.
