unannounced delays?

I jumped on a 409 bay point train out of Montgomery because I needed to be back in Pittsburg around 5p. the train was scheduled to arrive at 502p however :

- we stopped halfway through embarcadero
- we held at west Oakland for 10 minutes
- we crossed tracks via switch right after rockridge,
right before the concord yard and again a minute ago approaching bay point. not a single word on the service advisories page. any employee know what's up?

> we stopped halfway through

> we stopped halfway through embarcadero
I assume the TO brought the train fully into the platform. Since you did stop, it probably meant the tube was quite crowded. However, when the system is a mess, sometimes a TO will mushroom down (hit the stop button) as soon as he hears his call sign. Then he can hear clearly and act accordingly.

> we held at west Oakland for 10 minutes
The WO hold was to allow more room for trains (they were bunching up).

> we crossed tracks via switch right after rockridge,
The tracks after Rockridge were messed up.

> right before the concord yard
That put you back on your correct track.

> and again a minute ago approaching bay point.
That was normal. As the many trains approach Bay Point, certain trains are designated keepers and will be sent back to SFO. Others go to Concord Yard for maintenance. My guess is that the train on platform 1 (south side) was being sent to the yard? Yours was probably good and was kept in service.

thinking about it..(I was

thinking about it..(I was desparately trying to sleep) we crossed over to the (correct) north bound tracks right before the tunnel. I remember looking outside at orinda and the platform was to my left. THanks for the info. I am sitting on an Airport bound train right before north concord station due to a train problem ip ahead andno service advisory
