FYI: Protest @ Civic Center TODAY

Did anyone else get the blue flier on their morning commute? I come from Concord, and there were fliers on all the seats on my SF-bound train.

At first it actually looked like it came from BART, with "Safety Alert" as the title. About two sentences in, it says BART can no longer guarantee rider safety on the trains. It then goes on to call BART police officers "gang members" and a "vigilante group".

I was about to toss it, but when you check out the backside of the flier, there was this notice:
"Demonstration against police murder of Oscar Grant
5 p.m. TODAY (Monday Jan. 12)
Civic Center BART Station
Downtown San Francisco"

I called BART and left a message, asking if anyone knew about the planned protest and what their plans were for dealing with it, but so far, no response.

Just wanted to warn the rest of you about the evening commute ...

Didn't see this post until after I commented on the flier in a different post about the protest. We did know about the flier and the protest. Thank you for making the report. We would rather have 40 people report the same problem to us than everyone believing someone else must have called it in.
