Something to think about.....
Why was BART Police criticized for taking too long on an investigation that was only FIVE days old at the time. But yet an independant investigation where all of the witness information and evidence is spoon fed to the District Attorney's Office by BART PD investigators will take TWO weeks!
Jerry Brown stated BART PD has done nothing wrong with the investigation. BART has some of the most professional cops I've had contact with. Furthermore, the news had to go all the way back to 1992 to find a case when BART PD was wrong or unjustified in their actions. How often to other departments screw up? Most make the news yearly, if not monthly.
Like I said before "The smart ones are not so quick to jump to conclusions". I'm glad eveyone is finally acting civilized. The citizens of Oakland don't need to have their shops and vehicles trashed because you are angry.

"A 33-year-old man was arrested Friday night in connection to the accidental fatal shooting of a 2-year-old boy by a 12-year-old family member at a home in East Palo Alto Thursday evening, according to police."
Please explain to me how this guy is arrested within 24 hours, but Barney Fife remains free. I'm almost certain there were no cell phone cameras documenting the accidental shooting in East Palo Alto, yet somehow authorities there were able to wrap up the investigation in less than two weeks. Sounds as if the rules are different if one is a cop.

sounds pretty simple to me. it was his gun, he didn't lock it up properly, a kid got hold of it and killed another kid. there is no question that he didn't do enough to keep the gun out of the reach of children. case closed.
the bart case isn't so simple.
I think you spoke too soon
I think you spoke too soon when you said people were finally acting civilized. It's such a shame what's happening to innocent shopowners and people as a result of all of these events.
