What was going on today?
More BART delays, although this time it seemed to run from East Bay to SF rather than the other way around. Even so, Montgomery was PACKED on both platforms.
I could have sworn the Dublin/Pleasanton train was announced as the Fremont on the overhead sign AND the station announcer. I'm glad in the end I took it because I noticed the Fremont train was only 5 cars. Again.
BART...honestly.

BART OCC: 1550h - 12/30:
BART OCC: 1550h - 12/30: The system announcer made three public address updates that the Richmond train was at Colma while I was standing at Montgomery St. Stn. The sign board estimated a 25 minute wait. It's nice giving a play-by-play of where the Richmond train was located on the SF line, but I noticed there were a lot of tourist at the station - why wasn't an announcement made to take either a Pittsburg/Baypoint, Dublin/Pleasanton or Fremont train and transfer in the east bay stations which appeared on schedule. This is a holiday period, give those less frequent riders an option to keep moving to their destinations with options. It would have been so simple to state: "For those patrons not wanting to wait for the Richmond train, board any east bay bound train and transfer at the appropriate station for a Richmond train." The maps inside the train would have explained the options. System announcer - please keep the patrons moving rather than waiting on the platforms. Most train operators announce the transfer options. End of rant.
Think world class service.
