Commas!

I noticed that the destination signs now show the arrival times of the next two trains. I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that this morning.

I saw that too! For a moment
I saw that too! For a moment I thought the sign was broken! :P
I saw that too, although I
I saw that too, although I think Bart still has some glitches to fix.
The sign during rush hour showed "Pittsburgh/Bay Point 14,12 min"...it might be more logical to put the 12 in front of the 14. Just my 2 cents.
Im sure they are working on
Im sure they are working on it. I have done some minor programming for computers. I am sure it is a simple fix. But wait its BART, maybe not. LOL
I am sure it is a simple fix.
I am sure it is a simple fix.
Seven consultants, a focus group, environmental impact study, a year's time, and viola!
Maybe the earlier train got
Maybe the earlier train got delayed. I bet the computer system running the boards can display just about anything, but isn't smart enough to actually process the numbers and decide that one is bigger than the other.
I like the new additional
I like the new additional arrival times. I wish they would display 12&14 rather and 12,14. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out, but one lady at Civic Center said "12 minutes and 14 seconds?"
12 minutes and 14 seconds?
12 minutes and 14 seconds? That's awesome!
i'll bet the "&" would look
i'll bet the "&" would look really shitty on bart's lite-brite screens.
you would probably hear a lot of tourists saying stuff like "12 turtle doves 14, WTF??? i thought it was 2 turtle doves???"
It is my personal opinion
It is my personal opinion that this "update" is utterly useless. Why should I care that there's another train coming 15 minutes after the one that I'm going to get onto? All I need to know is when the next train is.
They should have spent the money fixing the tracks instead.
I doubt it cost them any
I doubt it cost them any money to fix this. Some bored IT person or intern probably just modified the current system. It's not like they put up new signs.
I think it's a good idea. It lets people getting on at crowded stations make a better decision whether to try and cram on the first train or let it thin out a little. Not that people will wait, but in theory it could work.
Morning commute, train is
Morning commute, train is SRO, to the brim.
But wait! On the sign, there was an SF train in 2,4 minutes.
Why not just step off and wait 2 minutes and get a seat!
I think that was some of the logic behind the upgrade.
