drinking soda from the trash...
On Sunday I was on BART (with my bike) on my way to Concord around 5:20pm.
While at Macarthur Station the only other person on the platform was this hobo looking guy going through the trash for cans & bottles.
Seems there were quite a few..
Then out of the corner of my eye notice is he was not collecting the empty cans & bottles but instead he was collecting the contents of the empty cans & bottles.
He was pouring the ounce or two of left over soda (?) into his own bottle then dropping the empties on the floor and walking away.

Sunkist is a Brand & Fanta is a Brand. Maybe, just mayyyy beeeeeee they taste a little different and make the "Garbage Can Suicide" taste differently thank a normal Suicide.

Odd behavior.I was going to say that he was the bottle to collect the liquid and not make a mess- til I read your last sentence. BTW... not all of the can collectors are bums... There's a retiree aged guy I see at MacArthur collecting cans and bottles... He's nice he says he rides the afternoon one a given line and collects. Funny- I once him putting his booty (figuratively- his literal booty went to the front cab) in the back of a new looking Kings Ranch F150. I say pretty resourceful collecting the let behinds of people breaking the law on BART by drinking on BART (wink- I'm guilty too of taking a swig out of a bottle of pop or water)
