Yesterday afternoon I swiped my card to exit Castro Valley and the screen fired up SEE STATION AGENT. He did some strange voodoo magic then tapped it on the faregate and it worked.

You see, the agent does know what he's doing after all! He was trained in voodoo and the ability solve your little problem in matter of seconds. How's that for customer service?

I've never had Bank authorization problems. But on 3 separate occasions my card hasn't worked. The station agents do whatever they do in the booth to deduct the fare and I go out the gate. It's worked fine after that. But I do wonder why those "See Station Agent" events happen.

I got an email from Bart saying that there was a problem processing all MasterCard transactions. My card reloaded properly last night.
