I guess the only way to park your bike on a crowded train

On the train now and see that a bike is partially crowding the trains walkway. People were getting around it just fine. By the way I didn't know that bike tires come in blue - ah only in san fran.

You know, the one time I've
You know, the one time I've had to take my bike on BART (Fruitvale bike valet was closed on July 3, dangit), I ended up in a similarly obstructive situation by the time I got back to Fruitvale. I didn't want to be, but the car was packed, and there were at least six other bikes on our one car (the last car!). It was a bloody mess.
If possible, BART should have a "bike and luggage car" similar to what they have on CALTRAIN. With ridership up, maybe they can afford to do something like this.

That's not crowded. =)
I agree... a designated bike and luggage car would be great.
I've been on more crowded
I've been on more crowded trains with more bikes. And you know what? It wasn't that bad. If I am on a crowded train, I'll stay next to the door and get off to let people move in and out and get back on before the doors close. Sometimes I hold the bike upright and against my body. Most times, it's not an issue. Of course, in this case, "crowded" seems to be a matter of opinion.
Perhaps someone needs to exercise a little tolerance.
