The Media Loves Lafayette

It seems like every month or so there's a news van parked over here at Lafayette. I know last month they were filming the crosses on the hill for the war anniversery, and again when the little candlelight vigil was going on at 4k deaths.

Today though they seemed to be waiting for people to pull up to the little ' park and ride' spot near the first non permit lot. I saw them walk up to a car there and talk to the driver. I parked right next to their van, but they didn't seem interested in me.

Normally I just shake my head in disgust when the vultures are out, but today they were parked in one of the BART lot parking spaces. I don't think they are supposed to do that so I told the station agent they were there before I went up to the platform. I hope they get two parking tickets, one for each unpaid (I'm guessing) spot they were occupying...at 6am on a weekday!
