Embarcadero Escalators are down for over a week now What's up with BART techs? I don't mind walking the damn stairs but my god, during rush hour it's so slow going up it. On top of that, it's been over a week and I haven't seen any work on it. Gee whiz... |

Yeah, its really bad. Does anyone know why BART doesn't put up signs on the escelators telling people to stand on the right and walk on the left? Too many times I have missed my train because inconsiderate fools stand in my way on the left side of the escelator.

I dont know what the hell it is with that particular escalator. It is down like 8-10 times a year. Its not a big one either. All the other ones in that station seem to do fine.

I'm sure these escalators get more abuse because it's exposed to the weather elements. Come on, it's approaching two weeks now and all I see are 3-4 steps at the top are removed and fenced off. Fix it please.

Is this the escalator on the Spear St. exit? The one the State of California shut down two years ago? Yeah, right next to the sign that says "Your fare dollars at work" ROFLMAO

I am laughing so hard. PUT UP SIGNS???? Look around BART. There are plenty of informational signs. The problem is 95% of BART's passengers DON'T READ THEM. There are signs at the base of every escalator that indicate no bicycles or strollers...and what do you see on the escalators all the time? There are signs up in the stations that say no eating, drinking or smoking.....and what goes on in the stations and on the trains???? Yep, eating, drinking and smoking. The fare gates have GREEN arrows to indicate an open gate and a "universal" RED circle to indicate a closed gate. How many times have you watched someone stand at the gates trying to put a ticket into the gate with the RED circle???? I rest my case your honor.
