Who is the idiot to do a BOMB Scare at West Oakland?OMG, I wonder why they picked West Oakland out of all places? If they really wanted to get a good station for a bomb, wouldn't you pick a really busy station like the Financial District stations? I bet this idiot did this because they needed an excuse of not having to take BART to the City. What a moron. I hope it is just a scare. |

I really hope they catch
I really hope they catch these jerks who made this threat and add a special circumstance to what they did since so many people were inconvenience by it. These jerks should also have to pay for all the money it cost to hold up the system, the money the system lost because passengers couldn't ride, as well as the costs of having the police investigate. This was really a mean thing to do.

From What I understand about this 2 guys left the train at the 12th St station and as they left the train someone overheard them say something and the only word they heard out of the whole conversation was bomb. So they told the BART Police that they thought they were talking about a bomb on the train. No one even knows what they 2 guys were discussing, they could have been taling about anything but this one Passenger is what messed up the system for everyone. Not the 2 guys that were just talking as they left the Train. For all we know they were talking about the bombing in Iraq that was on the news that morning.
So the BART Police from just one person saying they overheard the word bomb, decided to shut down the whole system.

I think you have that wrong. The Republicans don't have Americans scared. It's the Islamic TERRORISTS that have Americans scared. When was the last time a Republican was described as having flown a plane into a building? Or severed the head of a kidnapped victim? Get it right FOOL.

So the BART PD was supposed to take a bomb threat lightly and ignore it and not shut down access in the tube? A bomb in the tube would not only kill a lot of people on a train, but would also cause a hole in the tube which will flood a large area of SF. So unfortunately, people's words have to be taken seriously, just in case. If there was an easier way to do it, we would have done that instead, but we had to shut down some trains.
