Following the investigation

Following the investigation of the sarin gas attack in Tokyo on 20 March 1995, there was general consensus amongst transit operators that underground restroom facilities, in particular, single user facility found on BART, were perfect places to perform final assembly of WMD's. These stations were particularly prone to pooling of heavier than air gases and containment in general was problematic. BART hemmed and hawed about closures, sensitive to the public's "needs." That all changed on 9-11-2001 and BART exercised the right to close underground station restrooms as part of their security measures. Of course, the added benefit included substantial savings on the labor involved in keeping the facilities clean or at least minimally hospitable.

Unfortunately, the closures have created "hot piles" on platforms, staircases, and out of sight areas at the underground stations.

Oh come on. Who needs a place to assemble an MWD? In Baghdad they blow things up all the time without assembly restrooms.

gotta agree with rangdan on

gotta agree with rangdan on this. i've never tried to assemble a WMD, but i think i'd finish assembly in my secret underground lair, where i have a proper soldering iron and particle accelerator. using the centrifugal force of the water spiraling down a flushing toilet in a BART bathroom isn't exactly the most efficient way to split atoms.

Double-agreed. Finishing a

Double-agreed. Finishing a WMD in a bathroom? C'mon. It's not like closing the bathrooms will stop someone bent on hurting or killing people. It just forces them to devise a different tactic. And if you think that's a victory, you're dumber than you look. :)

Stupied ass poll, let's put some proactive action into getting the Head of BART to get the bathrooms open. Hell the bathrooms are there, let the people use them. Whoever designed those bathrooms in the first place is a moron.
