Cracked rail, delays of 50 minutes
Midmorning a rail cracked between Glen and Balboa Park Stations. As a result, trains were single-tracked and every Daly City train became a San Francisco / 24th Street train. From what I heard, passengers were stuck in the TBT for 20 minutes as trains clogged the downtown SF trackway.
Anyone with P&W or M&E know the inside scoop? Any passengers got horror stories to share? Any Station Agents or Train Operators have any really irate passengers?

Let's just say a typical 10-12 minute ride tood 25 minutes, most of it in the TBT. Is the cracked rail linked to the tree that fell on the tracks from last week?

I don't give a fuck about the excuses. I wanna know why appropriate repairs aren't done nightly during the 6 hours that BART claims are necessary every single night to "maintain the system?"
