Update on BART delays
UPDATE: the richmond bridge is partly open from what i hear. BART Service past 24th street is STILL CANCELED!
UPDATE 2: Shrapnel says that there is a bus bridge btwn 24th and Balboa. Stay with BARTRAGE for further updates as they become available
BART trains heading to San Bruno have hit a tree at 24th street. Trains are stopped as crews try to remove it. Two trains hit it.
BART has released the following:
There is train disruption at 24th St. Mission between 24th St. Mission and San Francisco and Peninsula Stations due to an obstruction on the track. There is no train service beyond 24th station.
In other non bart news:
101 HAS BEEN TOTALLY SHUT DOWN! Both directions. The Richmond bridge IS TOTALLY CLOSED due to two overturned trucks. CHP is stopping everyone trying to cross. Also SF streets are in gridlock.
That is the only news so far and I will be updating this as more comes in

The PBP train was delayed
The PBP train was delayed for a few minutes for clearing out some debris on the tracks... boy am I glad I'm almost home.

Wonderful. I'm assuming there's a Bus Bridge between 24th Street Station and Balboa Park?? What a pain the evening commute is going to be. Maybe I'll just take the Muni Metro to Balboa Park and hop onto BART from there...

From what I've heard... there's a ton of debris on the trackway, including the switch I beat TO2003 with.

At about 5:30 this morning I
At about 5:30 this morning I went out with a couple of Mechanics to look at a Train that had hit a tree that fell across the tracks just north of the Pleasant Hill station, they had already taken the passengers off of the train and onto another train before we got there, there was no major damage to the car, just some under-car damage and one motor got pretty beaten up. i came back to the shop and had to change my clothes completely because I was soaked to the bone even through the rain gear BART supplies.
hope tonight isn't quite as bad as yesterday.

Yeah, my coworker who always catches the train before me despite the fact we start work at the same time (oops, I'm just hooked on that Montgomery train) said the train was really late this morning. I actually think I watched it pull away from the platform about 15 minutes late before I hopped on the empty Montgomery train behind it :-D

I was a whole hour late to
I was a whole hour late to work today. I check bart.gov and bartrage for updates and no one said there were no direct trains to dublin/pleasanton! and by the time i had figured it out the signboard was saying 15 min for the next one, so i took that, but it took a bit longer than 15 minutes. no one at work was upset but it was pretty stressful for me -- my boss called to see if i was physically stuck somewhere so they could call someone else in for me!!
