Props to a T/O
Last night I was on the 11:38 train from Dublin/Pleasanton. It took me two hours to get home, but the TO kept us informed. He told us what was going on the whole time. We got stuck right before Bayfair station and he said he had to get out and switch tracks manually, something like that. Usually when I take the train home around midnight there aren't too many delays -- last week we got stuck in Oakland because of a fight on the car ahead of us and that took about an extra hour. Does anyone know what happened last night?

A windy evening.

I ran in to a WONDERFUL t/o the other day on a Daly City bound train. He made announcements in Spanish at some stations, was clear about transfer and regional transit connections, and even briefly described some sights (cable cars, etc) when the train was downtown. Props to him.
I will post train and date info later.

i think i was on this guy's train last night - pitt/baypoint bound train leaving montgomery around 5:00. i had my headphones in, but swore that i heard some announcements in spanish.
You should hear his
You should hear his announcements at 12th street...he says 12th street in Chinese (for the station's proximity to Chinatown Oakland). Sometimes, his announcements spill over after the doors have opened and he doesn't have time to say "This is a Daly City, Daly City bound train" until the doors close and the train has taken off. He's my absolute favorite T/O though...speaks clearly, very helpful, and even smiled back at me when I exited the train past him. =)
