What is this 24 hour BART that I heard about?
Is it true that BART is going to run 24 hours on a weekend? If so, can someone fill me in? I think that is a great idea since I work on different shifts.

This weekend only (Fri and
This weekend only (Fri and Sat night), BART will be running a modified Sunday shift every hour at a quarter til. Only certain stations will be open, but it will definitely be a convenience for all BART riders.
right on man. my wife is
right on man. my wife is chinese and your name is perfect. lol
It was just for the weekend
It was just for the weekend that the bridge was closed. Bart took a huge loss financally and the huge amount of calls for Urine/vomit and even more gross stuff has all but killed any idea of going 24hrs.
sorry, your fellow "late night commuters" really, really fucked things up and totally grossed out many of us Bart employees. I was ashamed of how so many people could be so disgusting at one time.
Yep. The behavior that was
Yep. The behavior that was on display that weekend killed the 24 hour service idea. Like Train Operator said, the calls and complaints about the puke and piss-fest and all other things nasty was overwheming almost. I was also ashamed and amazed at how nasty and careless people can be on BART.
Add in the fact that it cost BART 200,000 dollars to run 24 hr service that weekend, and that only created 25,300 dollars in revenue. BART lost about 175,000 dollars that weekend.
24HR service: More trouble than it's worth.
