BOD's vote to impose work rules

from ABC7.com:

Board of Directors has voted to impose a contract on the ATU local 1555. Waiting for a response from the union. No word on a strike.

ATU Contract

Does anyone have access to ATU's contract? I'm looking at what the Board wants to impose on them and they list chinese new year and cinco demayo as holidays that ATU gets, I know SEIU doesn't get them, and was looking for a list of holidays for ATU.

While I'm thinking about it, does anyone have a summary of the changes to the AFSCME contract? The BOD didn't vote on their contract today, so it's not on the agenda like SEIU's and the ATU imposition are.

thanks

page formating

Just wondering if anyone else is having problems with the web page formating here? the lists of links on the left seems to be way too wide and the actual content here seems very narrow.

BART's largest union rejects contract proposal

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/07/16/BANC18QEM3.DTL&tsp=1

BART's largest union voted overwhelmingly Thursday to reject management's latest contract offer, a move that sends both sides back to the bargaining table and keeps alive the possibility of a strike.

Service Employees International Union, Local 1021, represents about half of BART's 2,800 unionized workers. Its members, among them mechanics and clerks, voted 98.5 percent to turn down management's proposed deal, union officials announced late Thursday. The lopsided outcome was not a surprise.

Destination Signs

Does anyone even pay attention to the Destination Signs on the front of the Trains? I tried to read one when a train was coming into the Concord station last week, but couldn't even see it. They really seem to be worthless to me and take a heck of a long time to change when they go bad.
