Heads up another protest tomorrow

From the people who hacked the myBART site today and leaked the personal info of thousands of people onto the internet comes another protest tomorrow. Expect a lot of people dressed up in Guy Fawkes Masks and red shirts to cause havoc tomorrow. If they actually show this time.

At least

this doesn't happen on BART....

A driver on a MUNI train leaves one of the train doors open while the train is GOING through the tunnel. The driver eventually closes it, but there was someone standing right next to the opened train car who could of fallen out. You have to watch the video yourself:

How congested

was the Market Street subway for BART today? Because when I was coming home from the Giants victory parade, my train had to wait at Montgomery for quite a while before heading to Powell where it waited for longer than usual as well. I also noticed that BART was shooting two trains to MacArthur, one to Bay Fair, and several to 24th street.

Anyone

know the news coming out of the new West Dublin/Pleasanton station? I know BART's holding a public meeting to solicit public opinion on fares and parking fees (as if they'll listen), but I haven't heard any news on the construction front.

BART riders say no to Fang's fare reduction gimmick.

The Feds forced BART to solicit public opinion on the fare reduction gimmick that would only last for 4 months that James Fang is pushing. (How convenient Fang is up for reelection to the BART board this November....) Almost 4 out of 5 passengers say they would rather see longer service hours and cleaner trains. Also BART staff disclosed that it would cost about $200,000 to change all the system's fare signs when the prices went down then back up again.

LOL Bart surplus

goes into funding the BART director's pet projects so James Fang could get his stupid 3% fare rollback. And 50 cars will get a "deep cleaning" bet you the 50 cars getting deep cleaned will only be the ones with the slanted noses....

A list below of the pet projects the surplus is getting funneled into:

You think BART is bad now

it was worst 10 years ago. I dug up an article

Would platform screen doors be feasible?

Curious, I know BART won't do this in the foreseable future, but would platform screen doors be feasible anywhere on the BART system? I could see them installed at the stations in Downtown SF which get pretty crowded during Rush Hour. Or has the amount of people riding BART at Rush Hour not reached the level where it would require this?

Holy s***! Woman survives being run over by a bart train

Woman lives after being run over by BART train

This happened Saturday night at the Rockridge station. All I can say is that she is one lucky woman....

What should you

do if you accidentally drop your phone on the tracks? I'm asking this because I read that reason why someone became roadkill when they were hit by a MUNI train at Castro station last night was because he dropped his phone on the tracks, jumped down to get it, and didn't see a MUNI train coming at the person until it was too late. So what should someone do if they accidentally drop their phone on the tracks at a BART station, especially at a station like Embarcadero where trains are coming every 2 minutes on average during rush hour?
